New Release from Nathan Storey – Blanket
North Carolina native Nathan Storey returns this fall with a brand-new single titled “Blanket,” set for release on October 10th, 2025. Following his 2024 project Daylight Sessions, the track showcases Storey’s signature emotional songwriting, layered guitar textures, and ethereal vocal harmonies.
Produced by fellow singer-songwriter Charlie John Millikin, Blanket came to life through an online collaboration between the two artists, who first met at a singer/songwriter competition. The pair describe the song as a reflection on loosening one’s grip on inner tension — a plea to become unstuck from damaging thoughts and dialogue.
“Blanket is a song about not being wrapped up too tightly,” Storey explains. With haunting pads and introspective lyrics, the track creates an atmospheric soundscape that blends acoustic intimacy with emotional depth — a hallmark of Storey’s growing catalogue.
