Jane Yo Return With “Strange Things,” a Shift in Sound

Jane Yo is a Mallorcan band formed in late 2014 by August Cortès (vocals, guitar), José Troya (bass, keyboards), Miquel Cifre (drums), and Jorge Sevilla (guitar, synths). The lineup recently expanded with the addition of keyboardist and synth player Gabi Capllonch.

From the beginning, the project set out to merge contemporary sounds with post-punk textures and ’90s influences such as shoegaze and dreampop. Their music drifts between ethereal soundscapes and explosive noise, where swirling guitars and layers of synths coexist with driving rhythms and constantly shifting dynamics.

Four years after the release of their LP From Now On, the band returns with “Strange Things,” the first preview of their upcoming four-track EP Empty Room. This new release marks a clear turning point in their sonic journey. The songs—set to drop in full in January 2026—retain the melancholy and sensitivity that have always defined the band, but now breathe with renewed depth. Expansive atmospheres, richer synth layers, and a steadily intensifying emotional pulse shape the EP’s identity. The arrival of Gabi Capllonch has been instrumental in this evolution, adding new textures and melodic phrasing that push Jane Yo toward a more organic and cinematic space.

On this first single, the band builds a tension-filled foundation over which guitars and keyboards glide and collide, forming landscapes that guide, contain, and ultimately detonate emotion.

The EP was recorded in January 2025 at MonoBoost Studios with Jaime García Soriano (Sexy Sadie, Sr. Nadie…) and Nahuel Gutiérrez (Arcade Fire, Yeah Yeah Yeahs…) behind the controls. During those sessions, the producers and the band quickly connected with the sonic vision they were aiming for. Jaime’s production work proved pivotal—not only in achieving the dense, powerful sound the band envisioned, but also in his meticulous attention to vocal recording and melodic detail.

Empty Room delves into the insecurities and fears of adulthood—distance, connection, and the passing of time. Its four tracks unfold as a brief yet intense narrative about the contradictions of growing and feeling. With this release, Jane Yo reaffirm their commitment to honest, emotional music built on subtlety, nuance, and the deep bond between its members.

The track is infused with the glow of North Hollywood, late-night city lights, and the strange magic of seeing someone for the first time and knowing they’ll one day end up in a song.

Keith Z – Miss USA ( Pop / Rock)

Sydney’s Keith Z isn’t just another fresh face on the indie landscape—he’s an artist forged by decades of real musical experience. His roots run deep, shaped by touring and writing with the late Randy Meisner of The Eagles as well as Australian legends Diesel and Max Merritt.

Those formative collaborations sharpened his craftsmanship and embedded a classic songwriting sensibility that now fuels his own solo work

Today, that foundation explodes into a project defined by razor-sharp satire, infectious pop-punk energy, and a vocal presence powerful enough to command national TV stages. After standout features on The X Factor and The Voice, Keith Z now channels his full creative force into his own clever, combustible anthems.

His latest single, “Miss USA,” is a standout moment: a polished, radio-ready blast that has already cracked the AMRAP Metro Charts. Critics praise its “brilliant lyrical content” and its ability to deliver a hooky, high-gloss sound while concealing a deliciously contemptuous, well-aimed critique beneath the surface.

“Miss USA” follows a string of rising successes, including major Spotify editorial playlist placements and a growing reputation for high-energy festival performances. With each release, Keith Z proves he’s not just making noise—he’s making a statement.

Nashville’s rising Alternative/Indie Rock outfit Sona Bliss Professional nerd and awkward troubadour, Daniel is the Founder and Alpaca-in-Chief of the World Scholar’s Cup.

He wrote his first songs — including M Building — during his Stanford undergraduate years, already nostalgic, decidedly off-pitch, and endlessly hopeful (though not entirely heartbreak-proof).

With the support of wonderful friends and exceedingly patient colleagues, his music has recently spilled joyfully into every corner of his life.

Hallucinophonics exist at the nexus of consciousness and sound—crafting immersive sonic experiences that blur the boundaries between reality and reverie.

Drawing inspiration from Pink Floyd’s cosmic explorations, Porcupine Tree’s atmospheric sophistication, and Tame Impala’s psychedelic innovation, the band creates music that transcends genre and form. Their sound operates as both an artistic statement and a transformative experience.

 Behind the Name

The name Hallucinophonics encapsulates their mission: to articulate the hallucinogenic experience through sound. Each composition merges ethereal textures, progressive structures, and hypnotic rhythms—sonic architectures that explore themes of consciousness evolution, existential discovery, and the liminal spaces between dream and awareness.

From transcendent space rock anthems to introspective nocturnal transmissions, their work occupies the sacred territory where the cerebral meets the celestial.

 Psychedelic Music

Hallucinophonics signal a bold new chapter in the evolution of psychedelic and atmospheric rock—an invitation to perceive reality through different frequencies. For the listener, the journey begins not with movement, but with stillness:

Close your eyes. Listen. Drift into the sound.

Current Release: Haze of Time

Formats: Streaming, Vinyl & CD
Music Video: September 2025 (Vevo)
Genres: Gothic Rock, Neo-Psychedelia, Dark Alternative, Atmospheric Rock

Track Overview

“Haze of Time” plunges deep into Hallucinophonics’ most introspective and atmospheric realm—a haunting meditation on existential isolation and the search for meaning within cosmic despair.

This dense, surreal composition unfolds through driving rhythms, lush synthesizer landscapes, and passionate male vocals, wrapped in a winter-cold production that mirrors the emotional intensity of its subject.

The result is a gothic neo-psychedelic masterpiece—a sonic odyssey about standing alone against the void while glimpsing redemptive light through temporal fog.

Feral Family – Down In The Dirt

“Never did find love,” opines vocalist Jamie Lowe on the opening of Feral Family’s latest single — a line that guarantees it won’t be appearing on your office party playlist any time soon.

“I wanted to capture that moment of surrender when hope fades,” Lowe explains. “It’s not just about losing love — it’s about losing faith in the idea of it.”

A blues-tinged lament, “Down In The Dirt” eschews the band’s trademark urgency, unfolding instead with a languid melancholy. The track slowly peels back a tale of loss and longing before guitarist Oscar Woods finally unleashes a wave of sound and fury in the cataclysmic final third.

A live force to be reckoned with, Feral Family have previously supported The View, The Lilacs, and The Heavy North. They’ll play their final headline show of 2025 on December 18 at Aatma, Manchester, with support from The Social Club and a special guest TBA.

With multiple Top 10 charting singles already to their name, the band has earned airplay and support from John Kennedy (Radio X), Steve Lamacq (BBC 6 Music), and Jericho Keys — twice featured as BBC Introducing’s “Featured Artist”. Their music has also appeared on E4’s Made In Chelsea and The Independent’s “Now Hear This” playlist.

“Down In The Dirt” marks the third single from Feral Family’s upcoming sophomore EP, set for release in February 2026.

Eloa – Song For A

Driven by a singular voice and a genuine stage presence, Swiss artist Eloa explores the depths and contrasts of human emotion through her Folk-Pop compositions. She shares her songs in an intimate acoustic setting — a musical treat delivered with a touch of humor and heartfelt sincerity.

In 2020, after releasing five studio albums and performing over 200 concerts in Switzerland and abroad with her alternative metal band Mingmen, Elodie Correa embarked on a new solo journey under the name Eloa.

“Since I was a child, I’ve always wanted to tell stories, express my emotions, compose my own music, and find my own path. Through Eloa, I finally had the courage to embrace what I truly wanted to share.”

Her debut solo album, Cold Love and Firestone, is set to be recorded in July 2025 at Blend Studio in Lutry, Switzerland.

Two Guitars, One Year, and a Journey Around the World

In 2025, following around fifty solo performances, Eloa was joined on stage by one of the guitarists from the band Grand Canard Blanc. Together, they decided to embark on an extraordinary adventure — a year-long world tour to share and promote her first album.

This musical journey promises many surprises and will be documented authentically across their social media channels — a true voyage of sound, soul, and discovery.

The LoveKillers  – Resurrection

Dark-alternative band The Lovekiller make a powerful comeback with their latest single, “Resurrection” — a slow-burning and emotionally charged journey through the depths of destructive love, pain, and passion. The track tells a story of inner strength, transformation, and rebirth, capturing the tension between vulnerability and empowerment.

Accompanying the release is the band’s first-ever cinematic music video — a stunning visual odyssey through the labyrinth of the human soul. Each frame mirrors the emotional path from pain and emptiness to self-acceptance and renewed strength.

“For us, ‘Resurrection’ is about how pain and passion can destroy you, yet also give you the strength to be reborn. It’s a song about finding a spark of yourself even in your darkest moments — where every ending can become a new beginning,”

— say band members Valerie and Alex.

Exploring themes of depression and toxic love, “Resurrection” delves into the kind of connection that’s impossible to let go of. Lyricist and vocalist Valerie channels her personal experiences with mental struggles, lending the track an authentic and raw emotional depth that resonates deeply with listeners.

The single marks an important step toward The Lovekiller’s upcoming debut album, set for release soon. With its blend of beauty, despair, and catharsis, both the song and its accompanying video promise to captivate fans of dark alternative rock and emotionally intense storytelling.

The Train Rockers  – New Release – Munich

The Train Rockers… what a strange name?! That’s a question we’ve heard a lot — and one we got used to. Here’s the short story.

On the streets of Munich

We’re an alternative-rock band from Munich. The Train Rockers started in 2015 playing on the streets and in subway wagons. Those early years — busking on platforms, in trains and on corners — are where the band was actually “born.” A friend gave us the name back then, and it stuck.

Playing in public had a uniting effect. Each of us brings very different cultural and musical roots, which fused into the sound we have today:

  • Frank — vocals and guitar, Germany; rooted in rock/alternative.
  • Chrissie — drums, Germany; rock/alternative background.
  • Sam — bass, Germany; rock/alternative background.
  • Suleyman — lead guitar, Turkey; blends rock with Turkish traditional music influences.
  • Richard — piano, England; moves between rock and classical themes.

The Shape of our Music

The street and its people didn’t just give us a name — they shaped our songwriting and lyrics. We met people with incredible stories: generous, funny, inspiring — sometimes terrifying. We played everywhere: drug hubs in Berlin, Grafton Street in Dublin, beneath the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and even in jails across Munich, Bavaria and Austria. Those encounters and places became the secret ingredient in our sound.

You can hear those stories and atmospheres on our new THE BLACK SHEEP EP. The EP blends Alternative-Rock, Pop, Folk and Country and carries depth, spice and a hard-won reality. The songs tell our stories and the stories of others — about crisis and hope, saints and sinners, outsiders and misfits — which is how the name The Black Sheepfits the record.

Our influences

One of our biggest influences is Johnny Cash. Beyond his timeless songs, Cash had a huge heart for outcasts. His live albums At Folsom Prison and At San Quentin had a profound effect on us — not just musically but ethically. The way he treated inmates with dignity, brought music into bleak places and shared hope through his faith inspired us to play in jails for people who often feel forgotten.

Other artists that shaped our sound include:

  • U2 — for soaring, anthemic rock and emotional scope.
  • Kings of Leon — for raw, broken-beauty rock songs.
  • Bob Dylan — for epic, narrative songwriting.
  • The Cure — for morbid, atmospheric texture.

We once opened a Christmas concert inside a prison. After the first song, a sarcastic applause broke into loud, malicious laughter. One inmate muttered, “Yeah, thanks!” — not the most promising start. We then announced: “We are The Train Rockers from Munich.” Confused faces. “Yes, sure… our name — we started as a street band in Munich and often played in subway trains. There, the audience had no chance to escape.” That line got a laugh and then a shift. We explained we’d gotten better — otherwise they wouldn’t have let us in. The mood changed. The inmates began to listen, laugh, join in and respond to the street stories in our songs. It was honest, human, and powerful.

Our music is a map of where we’ve been and who we’ve met. The grit of the street, the small mercies and absurdities of travel, and the strange intimacy of playing for people with nowhere else to go — all of that lives in our songs. If you listen to THE BLACK SHEEP EP, you’ll hear those places, atmospheres and voices woven through the arrangements.

Thanks for reading. If you’re curious, give the EP a spin and follow our journey — from the trains of Munich to whatever comes next.
