Other Lies – Teens 4 Today ( Rock Pop/ Punk )

“ The opening riffs set the tone for a good track, nice guitar sounds on this one”

NMR – Im always a bit biased for guitar driven tracks, and this one holds its own with a good arrangement , some nice licks and solo work, the overall track is mixed and produced well, nice width in the monitors, vocal delivery is great, backing and harmonies work well, …a nicely presented song !

In the heart of Paris, far from the clichés of polished pop and formulaic rock, Other Lies are carving their own path. This independent band blends post-punk grit, psychedelic textures, and rare acoustic instruments from across the globe into something that feels both timeless and otherworldly.

Think Siouxsie, The Cure, and Depeche Mode for their post-punk pulse—then imagine that energy woven with the dreamy echoes of Boards of Canada or The Byrds. But what truly sets Other Lies apart is their sonic curiosity. The band isn’t afraid to experiment with instruments like the zither, santur, or ney, giving their music a rich, textured sound that travels between East and West.

Their songs aren’t just tracks; they’re immersive musical stories—filled with atmosphere, longing, and a sense of cinematic nostalgia. Lyrically, you’ll hear the fingerprints of rebels and romantics like Hunter S. Thompson, Pierre Loti, and Stefan Zweig. The band’s message? A quiet rebellion against materialism and a deep, aching search for meaning in a noisy, fast-moving world.

In a time of shortcuts and digital gloss, Other Lies reminds us that music can still be a slow burn—mysterious, poetic, and deeply human.
