Queen Bitch is the captivating music project of Róisín Bohan, whose musical roots trace back to her childhood in Reading, England. Róisín grew up in Cork, Ireland, where she began her musical journey by studying classical piano at the Cork School of Music. Her teenage years saw a natural expansion to guitar, though her early attempts at songwriting were often stifled by self-doubt.

After high school, Róisín pursued a BA in Fine Art from Cork’s Crawford College of Art & Design. Post-graduation, she moved to Dublin and worked as an art gallery curator, refining her artistic perspective. But by early 2020, at 27, Róisín felt a pull back to music. With a newly purchased guitar in hand, she began developing melodies, largely as a personal escape during lockdown.

Over time, Róisín dedicated herself more seriously to music, enrolling in guitar and vocal lessons to boost her confidence. By early 2023, she took a significant leap and started performing her Queen Bitch original music at open mic nights around Dublin. The experience led her to record and release her debut track, Bones, in October of the same year.

The Latest Release: ‘Turn the Lights Down’
Written by Róisín and recorded at Beardfire Studios in Harold’s Cross, Turn the Lights Down showcases her unique style with the help of producers Rohan Healy, Al Quiff, and David Virgin. This track marks an exciting new chapter in Róisín’s evolving musical career as Queen Bitch.
