Morning Tourist – New Single ‘Leap’ Following Debut LP
London-based singer-songwriter Morning Tourist (AKA Sean McKinney) returns with a brand-new single, Leap, marking his first release since his debut LP, The Endless Eve. The song delves into themes of change, the passage of time, and the often reluctant acceptance of life’s shifting circumstances.
Beginning with a solitary pianist, Leap gradually introduces its players, building towards an emotional and distorted climax. The song’s structure reflects its themes, as it circles back to its beginning, closing with the lone pianist once more. This full-circle arrangement symbolizes the inevitable cycles of life and the perspective gained through experience.
Reflecting on the track, Morning Tourist shares:
“It’s the first time the band has come into the studio with me, and the first time with producer Ben. So it feels like a bit of a new step for the project. Following the release of the LP, I wasn’t really sure what exactly the next offering would look like or how it might be delivered. Now we’re here, I’m delighted with the result and I can’t wait for people to hear it.”

Leap was recorded and produced by Ben Andrews at Loose Recording, featuring a talented lineup of musicians including Simon Roberts, Harvey Fenny, Alex Rosenberg, Sam Cahalin, and Jody Lahart. The single’s artwork was designed by Daisy Shayler-Webb.
Morning Tourist has made a mark on the live music scene, performing across the UK and Europe. Notable festival appearances include Glastonbury (UK), Left Of The Dial (NL), Lakefest (UK), Pub In The Park (UK), and How The Light Gets In (UK).
