Hailing originally from Dalkeith and now based in Edinburgh, Cherry Red are a five-piece indie rock band bringing youthful energy and nostalgic flair to the UK music scene. Formed in 2019 while still in high school, the band have grown up side by side—both personally and musically—shaping a tight, authentic sound rooted in years of collaboration.
Since their early beginnings, Cherry Red have gained notable momentum, earning support from BBC Introducing and performing at iconic venues such as King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow—a rite of passage for many breakthrough UK acts.
Their music captures the emotional highs and uncertainties of navigating early adulthood, blending reflective lyricism with a vibrant indie rock edge.
