The Lovelines – Shades of Blue ( Pop / Punk)

“ Who doesn’t love Jangley guitar right ?…with a cool vibe and melody, this has a feel from the 80’s pop sound. “

NMR – Nice guitar riffs, melody vocal tones, this duo hit the right spot with this new release, think New Order, The Cure and this is your thing, nice mix and production make it a great all round song, check it out.

The Lovelines are a talented brother-sister duo from Orlando, FL, blending indie charm with a DIY ethos. The band consists of singer Test D and her brother Todd Goings, who serves as the songwriter and instrumentalist.

Onto the Scene with “Strange Kind of Love”

On December 28, 2021, The Lovelines released their debut single, “Strange Kind of Love,” recorded entirely in Todd’s home studio. The song quickly gained traction, landing spots on multiple Spotify editorial playlists and amassing over 1,000,000+ streams—a remarkable achievement for an independent act.

Their latest release, “Shades of Blue,” pays homage to the New Wave music scene of the late ’70s and early ’80s. Todd Goings, the creative force behind the track, shares his inspiration:

With this release, The Lovelines continue to evolve their sound while staying true to their unique artistic vision.

“Shades of Blue wasn’t written to be a Lovelines song, it was me pretending I was writing a song for New Order. There’s this romanticism to New Wave music. And so, though it isn’t an obvious music genre choice for us, judging from our catalogue, it’s an obvious thematic choice, I think.”
